How do you communicate an idea? How can you grasp the essence of a project to be able to tell it effectively?
Whether it is a fiction film, a documentary project, an idea for a TV series, today more than ever the pitch has become a fundamental tool for authors to make their stories known. Authors, screenwriters, directors are increasingly called on a stage, in front of an audience of professionals to convince the interlocutors of the uniqueness of their idea.
How to best manage this occasion by identifying the strengths of a story?
4 Meetings with audiovisual professionals (directors, authors, producers) will help the participants to focus on the best technique for the pitch of their project.
Paolo Borraccetti after the Master in Film Production at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles becomes an established comedy writer, author of the award-winning “Zelig”. His short films have received awards at festivals around the world. His visual style and storytelling skills have him collaborating with European and American clients and artists.
The course will be held online and broadcast live on Zoom, 4 meetings lasting 1:30 h.
FILIPPO MACELLONI
Director and producer, co-founder of the ‘Nanof’ production company. Among the numerous projects realized, the mockumentary “Il Mundial Dimenticato” (co-directed with Lorenzo Garzella, premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2011) and the documentary “The disappearance of my mother (Sundance film festival 2019, European film finalist awards).
GIULIA CASAVECCHIA
Head of Sales of True Colors, a company founded in 2015 from the collaboration between Lucky Red and Indigo Film, which deals with international film sales. Among the most successful films for which he oversaw international sales, ‘Perfect Strangers’ by Paolo Genovese and ‘Nostalgia’ by Mario Martone.
GIOVANNI POMPILI
Independent producer and founder of Kino Produzioni, a production company specializing in internationally influenced auteur films. He produced Carlo Sironi’s “Sole” (Venice 2019), Michele Vannucci’s “Delta” (Locarno 2022) and co-produced the Spanish film “Alcarràs”, Golden Bear in Berlin in 2022.

Former development coordinator at Cattleya, since 2019 she is Development Executive and Story Editor of Indiana Production, for which she deals with the development of TV series for the Italian and international market.

Do I need to install anything to participate?
What do I need to attend webinars?
You need a computer (or a tablet or a smartphone) and a stable internet connection (beware that sometimes the wi-fi or USB connections are not very stable), preferably via cable (even home ADSL is well). We recommend using earphones or headphones if you are in a noisy space.
